Mandela Day Donation

Description

Bishopsford collects donations for an animal rescue organisation throughout the year. We are always blown away by your generosity! Please pop a donation into the collection box in the nursery or you can add a donation to your online purchase.  We also welcome donations of beds, leads, food and blankets. We’ll remind you on Mandela Day and we usually hand over the year’s collection in September each year. Nelson Mandela devoted 67 years to serving South Africans and his birthday on 18 July is now a special day commemorated by South Africans doing their bit for charity.

Here are some examples of donations over the last few years.  We have been doing this for many years and hope to do so for many years to come:

2021 Aid 4 Animals – cat and dog food donation

2022 Steenberg Vets for treatment of Westlake township animals and treatment of the local wildlife injured in fires or by cars

2023 We donated cat, dog food and blankets to Aid 4 Animals rescue organisation

2024 Animal Lifeline for sterilisation and feeding of pets in a local township
