Description

Red Japanese Maple (Acer palmatum) – bonsai potted in a 12cm plastic nursery pot, 4 years old.

It is a deciduous Japanese maple known for its rich red to burgundy foliage that deepens through the growing season and turns vibrant in autumn. It has a graceful branching structure, fine leaves, and a compact growth habit, making it ideal for bonsai. Well-suited to medium-sized bonsai, it responds well to pruning, develops excellent ramification, and prefers partial shade with protection from strong wind and midday sun.

Height  35cm to 70cm.
